Today is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one!
This year I decided not to do any new year’s resolutions nor set any numeric result based goals. As I am usually doing that, I decided to shake things up a bit and just stick to some of guidelines for the new year, that would still help me keep track on the year and make it a good one. The guidelines are more about what I want to do in general, how to use my time, with whom I want to spend time with and how I want to be known and offer my value in general. No specifics.
To keep the decision before my eyes longer than first 3 days of the year and to note down small successes and surprise results, I designed, printed out and put on my wall a blank page. It symbolizes all the opportunities I have to design my work and life. By filling it in with small and big achievements throughout the year, I will have an end-result to analyse at the end of the 365 days.
If you wish to do things more differently this year, you can download this page, print it and put it on your wall or in your calendar and fill it in whenever something happens that is good.
I invite you to remember that you can mentally practice designing your work and life every day by noticing small things that happen that will be the stepping stone to greater results. If you use social media, feel free to use #donein2017 to state something good that is worth being put on your “Done in 2017” list at the end of the year analysis.
